LINKS Recruitment Group are pleased to present a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager to play an integral part of the team that offers the opportunity with a business based in Cardiff who are continuously growing and achieving company goals year on year.

Responsible for the financial health of a company or organisation. Producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research. Guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.


· Production of quarterly forecasts and the annual budget in conjunction with the Finance Director, for the Board of Directors and Shareholders

· To work with the Finance Director and Company bookkeeper/Accountants to produce monthly management accounts, ensuring that the organisation has an up-to-date financial position to support decision making and to understand variations to plans

· Providing financial analysis and guidance to senior management on all relevant activities, plans, targets, and business drivers

· The preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including income & expenditure statements, balance sheets, cashflow statements and cashflow forecasts, accounts reconciliations, consolidated statements, and relevant financial reports

· The management and monitoring of bank and deposit accounts, including daily/weekly treasury management

· Liaise with the Company bookkeeper/accountants, external auditors and provide all relevant support, documentation, and reports.

· Develop and maintain a local/national labour salary strategy to ensure that resources are available to execute the business plan.

· Work closely with the Business and Finance Support officer offering guidance as appropriate.

· Deputise for the Finance Director when required.

Desirable Skills:

· Ability to speak Welsh.

· Experience of developing effective administrative systems

· Experience in the use of QuickBooks


· Openbooks or other SME accountancy/project systems

· Conversant with the use of power BI

· Report writing and Board engagement.

· Previous Experience within a Financial position

Role: Permanent

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum

Shifts: Day Shifts, 37hrs per week (Hybrid working)

Holidays: 30 plus bank holidays

– Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors
– Develop and implement cost control measures to optimize expenses and improve profitability
– Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
– Analyse financial data and provide insights to senior management for decision-making purposes
– Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for operations
– Collaborate with other departments to develop budgets and financial forecasts
– Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
– Conduct regular audits to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions

– Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
– Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques
– Proficient in using financial management software and MS Excel
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
